Hi,

I've made a new release of net-tools. This is now available at

http://www.tazenda.demon.co.uk/phil/net-tools/

and should soon be available at the primary ftp site:

ftp://ftp.cs-ipv6.lancs.ac.uk:/pub/Code/Linux/Net_Tools/

There are no substantive changes between the 981031 snapshot and this version;
if you've installed the former then there is no point in upgrading. Notable
changes since the last (1.46) release are:

- Support for interface aliases with recent kernels is improved.
- Ifconfig et al can now auto-detect which address families are supported
on your system. This avoids triggering kmod requests for all missing
protocols whenever ifconfig runs.
- Support for extended SLIP options has been added

Share and enjoy.
