Bad interaction between sound and file system?

Hi, I was playing some music on my SB16 card with 2.1.128-1. I opened a
file, and the music skipped a beat at the same time this message showed
up in the log:

dt062n11 kernel: Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?

I have a PPro 165 running a UP 2.1.128-1 kernel with as many modules as
possible, including sound modules. Sound is configured just fine, so
there is no config error. I have glibc-2.0.7u
