AWE64

Hello, linux gurus,

I've got some troubles with SB AWE64 sound card.

If I enable 16-bit dma channel (in "options sb" line)
quake produces white noice (with the actual quake
sounds somewhere in background), and even "-sndbits 8" does not help,
but if the 16-bit dma is disabled, quake plays perfectly, but
another problem arises, that amp (mpeg decoder) doesn't play, which
plays ok, when 16-bit dma is enabled.

Is it bug in quake, or in the kernel, or AWE 64 is not supported fully?
Or is it fault in my hardware?

This happens on all kernels starting from 2.1.125 (I didn't check
earlier versions) with or without SMP.

Regards,
Alexander
