APM not working in 2.1.128

Hello,

APM was working almost perfectly with 2.0.35 but since I've switched
to 2.1.128, I'm having problems. The only problems I had with 2.0.35
were that the pcmcia devices didn't seem to wake up after a suspend
but I didn't investigate that problem very deeply before moving to
2.1.128.

Now, whenever the notebook goes into suspend mode (or just stand-by),
I'm unable to bring it back to life. I've ran the kernel with
apm=debug and had the messages go to the console. The kernel got
notification of the suspend (the log said so) but it never came back
from suspend.

Since it worked with 2.0.35, I assume the problem is not with the
laptop. I'm going to look into this deeper but I any help in this
matter would be welcome.

BTW, I've used the patch for 2.1.128 at
http://www.canb.auug.org.au/~sfr/.

Thanks,
ldd
