I compiled it with egcs 1.0.3a. This is the output from 'egcs -v':

No. At least one of the files was created after 2.1.128 was installed.
The file was created with 2.1.128, and lived until I fsck'ed the file-
system, ie. it's life did not span reboots. The system is also very
recently installed, and I have not used it much since the installation.
As far as I know, there has not been any unfortunate resets at all,
and certainly not during this file's lifetime.
