Laptop loosing IRQ after resume?

Ok,
I have a AST Ascentia A laptop. I can suspend nicely and it resumes
nicely but the resume locks about 30-90 seconds later and I start getting
errors that hda has lost it's IRQ. I've turned plug and play os off and
on in bios, but no change available. I can't reboot when this happens
and basically just power off.

Anyone have any ideas?
