update to the APM problem I encountered with 2.1.128

Hello everyone,

I finally got around to spend some time investigating the APM problem
I had with 2.1.128. I started suspecting a problem with event
propagation so I shut down pcmcia support (by running
/etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia stop) and it cleared the standby/suspend
problems I experienced.

The strange thing though is that when I restarted pcmcia later, the
machine froze. It doesn't freeze if I stop and start it without doing
a standby or suspend between the stop and start.

I'm using the pcmcia-cs.10-Nov-98 package.

Regards,
ldd
