Crash Adaptec 2930 & 2.1.130

2.1.95 runs cleanly, moved to 2.1.130 and I get this with my Adaptec 2930
(fairly new card..)..:

SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0.
scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 16, scsi0, channel0, id 6,
lun 1 Test Unit Ready 20 00 00 00 00

I have two devices, a JVC CD-R and a Conner hard drive attached to my SCSI
card.

Is it me or do Adaptec cards have a really hard time under Linux lately?
Specifically aic7xxx based cards like the 2930 and 2940. Are they simply
rotten cards or does Adaptec just not put out specs on them?
