Some more remarks:
1. I use RH5.2
2. gcc 2.7.2.3
3. glibc 2.0.7
4. During the compilation of the nfs module no error or warning message
were sent.
5. when I mount a directory from a client machine via nfs, in the
/var/log/messages file of the remote machine it is
confirmed that the nfs mount is successful. But in the client host the
mounted directory seems to be empty. The /var/log/kernellog also does not
says that the client mount request is not carried out.
