Sounds like a PCI WinModem -- which isn't supported by linux because
the manufacturers are a tad anal.
That being the case; take it back to the store and get a real (ie.
non HSP) modem. Tell them why you are doing this, better still, tell
the manufactures to remove their heads from their arses over
releasing specs for these things.
