Hello,

I tried to compile the Linux 2.2.0-pre2 with egcs-1.1.1 and
glibc-2.0.7pre6 on my Linux 2.0.36. However, when I "make xconfig", I
got the error I have never seen before:

...................................................................
cat header.tk >> ./kconfig.tk
./tkparse < ../arch/i386/config.in >> kconfig.tk
Ooops
echo "set defaults \"arch/i386/defconfig\"" >> kconfig.tk
echo "set ARCH \"i386\"" >> kconfig.tk
cat tail.tk >> kconfig.tk
chmod 755 kconfig.tk
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.2.0-pre/scripts'
wish -f scripts/kconfig.tk
Error in startup script: invalid command name "clear_choices"
while executing
"clear_choices"
(procedure "read_config" line 3)
invoked from within
"read_config $defaults"
(file "scripts/kconfig.tk" line 488)
make: *** [xconfig] Error 1
...............................................................

Could someone here kindly enlighten me how to deal with that? If
possible, pls email me at

yan@codonics.com

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
