I had to apply the following patch to get the thing to compile on a
Pentium Pro UP system. Also, I noticed the problem on an AMD K6 machine
but solved that one by downgrading my processor configuration from
'PPro/K6' to 'Pentium/TSC'. Is that the best fix?
