Stop it. NOW. I have already explained a NUMBER of times that .gz
will not be deleted from ftp.kernel.org any time soon; this wouldn't
change unless both (a) adoption and (b) stability of the .bz2 format
became more sufficient than it is now. I have reasons to believe (b)
is a concern.
