2.2.0-pre5 hang on alpha

Wasn't even doin' nuthin', just gimp. vmstat showed about what it usually
shows for this kernel, low free, big cache, big buf. No modules, no
messages, ctrl-alt-del didn't work.

Happened twice, both times when I was clicking on something in gimp.
