unknown kernel symbols (2.0.36 -> 2.2.1)

Hi,
I want to get linux-gpib work on 2.2.x Kernel.
After some changes in the linux-gpib driver sources
(semaphores,kernelmodules related things) it compiles.
But there are unresolved symbols when I try to do an
insmod:

# insmod driver/gpib0.o
driver/gpib0.o: unresolved symbol memcpy_tofs
driver/gpib0.o: unresolved symbol put_fs_byte
driver/gpib0.o: unresolved symbol memcpy_fromfs

these symbols were known in 2.0.x.
Any hints ?
