FYI: my SCSI-Bus-Hardware:
ID: [7] [5] [6] [2] [0]
Adaptec<==>ZIP 100<==>TEACCD-R55S<==>Pioneer 32x<==>Micropolis 9.1
(terminated (internal!) (trouble with (terminated using
static) that!!) SCSI-Bus +5V)
|
\--> Adaptec 2940AU (PCI!)
Ok, today i tested my drive under the environment of a friend. The
only relevant difference to my system:
1) The drive works :-)
2) He donīt have an Adaptec.
I tried my "old" 2.0.36 under unchanged environment and the recorder
does its work, fifo wasnīt under 99% while writing a 600 MB CD-R.

Yesterday I wrote some mails with Peter, he told me about a few days
old PATCH!! for PCI-Adaptec(?)-Controllers ... but I wasnīt able to
find that, because no search-engine knows something about a linux-scsi
list/archive.
BTW: The TEAC has a reversed logic with the termination jumper (Jumper
in= termination off, jumper off termination on), but having term
on/off doesnīt make much sense in my system, the little Benchmark I
did:
time cp largefile_on_SCSI-HDD /dev/null
with wrong Term on my CD-R in the middle of the SCSI-bus it has
7.5MB/s, without 7.8 MB/s ...
Greetings and thanx to all who helped me (or tried it :-)
