2.2.2pre5 on Alpha (EV56) [2.2.2pre5 followup]

Forwarding my own message to axp-list regarding compilation of
pre5 on an EV56(21164a) Alpha. I looked over the archives before
sending this, but the other message re: pre5 on Alpha was on an EV4 and
did not include much information.
Please carbon me on any replies, thanks.

The Makefiles are identical between the two. Only thing that
seems to have changed was ksyms.c:
(redundant information snipped, see diff below)
(See below for comparison between pre5 on x86, pre4 on axp, pre5 on axp)
Creating a trivial work-around for the time being is simple, but
the problem should be tracked down before 2.2.2 goes final.
