Nick Brown informed me that "pf" probably stands for "Protocol
family".
There's a list of which numbers correspond to which protocols in
/usr/include/linux/socket.h, e.g. 19 is Acorn Econet.
It seems that I'm using a too old version of net-tools. Here's the
latest version:
