I also get that when I change the partitiontable of the disk I booted from
usually (hda). I wouldn't worry too much about it and just reboot before
messing with the partitiontable (or the new partitions for that matter)
again.
A few days ago I saw something about an older version of fdisk not correctly
removing the last logical partition, so you might want to upgrade fdisk.
