Strange kernel messages from a via rhine card

Hi all,

I am running stock 2.2.8 with a pair of DLink DFE-530TX (Rev A) cards with
the via-rhine driver. The card has a chip on it from viacom labled
DM9101F 9816T M3283

The kernel has spit out several odd messages:
