I've had extremely good luck/performance with the DEC Tulip based card.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if DEC is making those chips anymore or not since
the Compaq buyout. There are a lot of clones out now and I don't have much
experience with them (except Macronix, which seems to be a pretty damn solid
netcard as long as your PCI bus is under 40mhz, heheheheheh).

They are usually ~$25 in price and all the machines in this house use them
exclusively. (6 machines, all but one running Linux)
