No. I try to compile my kernel with just what I need - nothing more and
nothing less.

I do compile some parts I don't use very often as modules (such as SCSI
CD-ROM, iso9660 FS, floppy), but none of those were loaded when I had
trouble (and I don't think they had been loaded since I started up).
