What if the controller is on the motherboard. In a cluster thats very likely
the case because using 1U/2U systems is important for cluster density.

Its not a "stick head in sand" problem. It won't go away. Bounce buffers
seem to have no impact on the normal path. We've been support ISA ones
for a long time
