[1.] One line summary of the problem:
SMP Kernel locks up on dual-ppro W6LI Micronics motherboard Intel
440FX chipset.

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:
My system is a dual-200 mhz ppro system. Boot system is a Conner 850
MB IDE drive. The other hard drive is a 9.1 GB Seagate SCSI, which is
86% empty. The system has 192 mb RAM. The lockup occurs when scanning
the IDE chain. It works fine on the uni-processor kernel, but locks
up every time on the SMP kernel. SCSI controller is an Advansys
ABP-940UA, Ultra SCSI. Kernel version is 2.2.12.

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel):
kernel, smp, ide

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):

[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information
resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)

problem (if possible)
