init error with > 2.3.6 kernel

I can't init with 2.3.6 kernel (the same for 2.3.9) and the config is the same
of 2.3.4 running ok on redhat 6.0
the log says:
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly
Freen unused kernel memory: 44k freed
init: error in loading shared libreries: libutil.so.1: failed to map segment
from shared object: Cannot allocate memory
What happens?
