The phone monopolies still rip you off for ISDN, and it has taken them
10 years or so to wait for ISDN to become obsolete before they started
pushing
it 8-))

This is not very hard for "telephone quality" (as opposed to high end
audio).
I've done something like this with about a page of code :)
