See? Device _detection_ (i.e., identify a parallel port, here at bootup) is
not the same as device _setup_ (dragging module into kernel, plus whatever
other magic is needed to get it working).

OTOH, this can get quite hairy... f.ex. SCSI vs parport vs UCB Zip drives...
