FWIW: My Dual-Pentium servers would crash with most kernel release after
2.2.7 within 24 hours. No oops, just frozen. I have now a 2.2.14pre4 kernel
running well beyond the critical time, so it appears as if there was a SMP
related problem that got fixed.
