Copy-On-Write, a technique used to make forking processes very fast making
use of page table mechanisms available on modern virtual-memory capable
CPUs. It basically consists of write-protecting the parent process' pages
, sharing it with the child process, and copying the page to a new
write-enabled page on a write fault, for the child's enjoyment.
