I used LinuxVersionCode(a, b, c) before 2.1.90 did exist and have had the
impression to invent it. May-be I have been a co-inventor. ;-)

Historically, it is KERNEL_VERSION which is redundant.
By the way, you break all my current patches for a nil change.

May-be you should also change all occurrences of Linux by Penguin and
Author by Monkey. This will avoid to do so in a couple of years.
