Network bug in 2.2.12 (20SMP/Redhat 6.1) , not 2.0.35

Hiya,

I've upgraded a few machines to RH 6.1 and now I get large (18%) packet loss
between the new machines (there were no problems with RH 5.2).

There is no packet loss between 2.0.35 and NT/Win98/2.0.35 machines
There is 18% packet loss between 2.0.35 and RH 6.1
There is 18% packet loss between Rh 6.1 and other 6.1 machines.

I have used a HUB and a cross-over cable and get the same results. I have
used pchar in both directions. I have changed all the cable segments.

I used pchar to test the network (pathchar gave the same results).

Any ideas? This surely is a 2.2.x network bug?

cheers
Stuart
