There is nothing that prevents this; it just takes a bit longer :-).
Someone (from ipv6 project) might have created binaries for potato too.

There is no /128 route to your fe80::[link local] address. It might also
be nice to have a route '3ffe:8271:2101:1::1/128' pointing to localhost.

Check how it should look like from the message I sent; just replace the
default route with a 2000::/3.

Unless you get link-local to work, there's small chance the global is
going to work. Therefore it's rather useless to debug messages when
trying global addresses.
