Although executing on the physical dev would be a great idea for offloading,
it's not what I meant. I meant operate as in:
Does the bridge get the packets directly from the nic-driver?
Or, does it get it through some detour ( via IP-stack ?) ?

Also, ethtool does not work on tulip?!
