I'm seeing a problem here with
Asus MB + 450MHz PIII + 128MB + 3 * 3COM905B
+ two IDE disks in software RAID-1
The machine acts as mail-server and router. It routes roughly 250GB per day,
mostly large packets, between the three 3Com cards but only handles a fairly
small amount of mails (~250 users with POP/IMAP accounts)
I got this in the syslog:
Nov 18 13:56:54 havarti
Nov 20 12:30:40 havarti kernel: kmem_free: Either bad obj addr or double free (objp=c6df2000, name=size-2048)
Nov 28 22:12:04 havarti
Dec 7 23:55:58 havarti kernel: kmem_free: Either bad obj addr or double free (objp=c5b65000, name=size-2048)
Tonight one of the two busiest NICs hung itself. An ifdown eth0 + ifup eth0
made it respond again.
What worries me is the blank lines in the log (nov 18 and nov 28) and of course
the kmem_free report.
Does any of the fixes in 2.2.14pre relate to this, or should I go look for
other things ?
Thanks,
