I think we should stop falling back to msm8996. These are newer IP
revisions with additional features and resources, such as different
FIFO and queue sizes. I also plan to submit packed-write support soon,
which will rely on those capabilities. It would be better to add a
dedicated variant entry rather than reuse the msm8996 definition.
