I can't get the scsi stuff to compile. I've got an AIC7xxx compatible
card, and during compliation, fairly near the end i get this:
drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_merge.o): In function `scsi_init_io_v':
scsi_merge.o(.text+0x937): undefined reference to `dump_stats'
drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_merge.o): In function `scsi_init_io_vd':
scsi_merge.o(.text+0xac9): undefined reference to `dump_stats'
drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_merge.o): In function `scsi_init_io_vc':
scsi_merge.o(.text+0xe6d): undefined reference to `dump_stats'
drivers/scsi/scsi.a(scsi_merge.o): In function `scsi_init_io_vdc':
scsi_merge.o(.text+0x106b): undefined reference to `dump_stats'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1
The scsi things i'm trying to compile are:
SCSI Support [CONFIG_SCSI]
SCSI CD Rom Support [CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SR]
SCSI Generic Support [CONFIG_CHR_DEV_SG]
Probe All LUNs on each SCSI device [CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN]
Adaptec AIC7xxx [CONFIG_SCSI_AIC7XXX]
If i make the scsi stuff as modules, i get this when I try and insert:
bigbird:/usr/src/linux# modprobe scsi_mod
/lib/modules/2.3.38/scsi/scsi_mod.o: unresolved symbol dump_stats
I patched the kernel up from 2.3.36, did a make mrproper, make clean,
make distclean. Copied my .config, did a make oldconfig, make dep, make zlilo.
