i've installed RedHat 6.0 on a four-CPU Intel S450NX. when i build a new
kernel and install it, the new kernel always tries to boot from initrd,
even though i've built without initrd support and have no initrd=
specified for my kernels in /etc/lilo.conf.
only if i specify "root=/dev/sda1" on the LILO: command line does it boot
properly. here's my /etc/lilo.conf:
boot=/dev/sda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
root=/dev/sda1
prompt
compact
timeout=50
read-only
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.3.39
label=test39

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-15
label=linux-up
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.2.5-15.img
is there something i'm overlooking?
