2.3.51 doesn't power off.

I have a k7 with AMD motherboard. With 2.2.13 (the last 2.2.x I tried)
the PC correctly power off, although I can see a flashing oops. In
2.3.51, with/without ACPI enabled and with/without "real mode" power
off option, I have simply a reboot.

How can I help to debug the problem?
