BUG: disk corruption 2.3.99-pre4-pre3

From: Jeff Garzik (jgarzik@mandrakesoft.com)
Date: Tue Apr 04 2000 - 15:08:03 EST

Copying an ISO from a 2.2.15-pre17 SMP box, over a network, to a
2.3.99-pre4-pre3 K6 box.

smpbox> md5sum iso
smpbox> cp iso /remote/tmp
smpbox> md5sum iso # sum matches

k6box> md5sum iso # sums differ

smpbox> cp iso /remote/tmp

k6box> md5sum iso # sum differs from first md5sum on K6 box!

smpbox> ftp iso -> k6box

k6box> md5sum iso # sum differs from all previous sums
k6box> reboot

(reboot yields the following oops. Note that httpd was NEVER EVER
touched/woken up on this machine, except for its own scoreboard
processing)
