Tim,

-fwritable-strings causes Space.c to comsume an extra 2.5k of kernel
memory. When we discussed this last week it was suggested that this:

    static char lt2[] = "lt2" __PAD3;
    static struct net_device cops2_dev = { lt2, 0, 0,
        0, 0, 0x0, 0, 0, 0, 0, NEXT_DEV, cops_probe };

Was the way to go. Was there a problem with this approach?
