Hmm... I wrote that after I got an email from someone saying that it
doesn't work. In any case, tgafb doesn't implement mmap() so I'm not sure
how it could work.

Ah... great stuff. Something I was looking forward to but didn't know it
actually existed. I'll look into it when I get a chance.
One other change I would like to make is that from reading the source to
the Digital UNIX console drivers I should be able to figure out how to
decode the DIP switches/jumpers used to select the bootup mode on TGA cards
and use that instead of the default 640x480. What do you think?
BTW. The Digital UNIX code makes interesting reading. It was released by
Compaq to XFree86 last year but I believe it is for general distribution
(at least from looking at the copyrights in the source, I'll check with Jim
Gettys). If you, or anyone else doing fb development on Linux want to take
a look at the code, I can put a copy up on FTP.
