I asked a few weeks back about problems with df and 4K blocksize ext2
filesystems, and df. Here's my evidence:
[root@dhin /audio]# fdisk /dev/sda
Command (m for help): p
Disk /dev/sda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 553 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 110 126 136552+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/sda3 127 553 3429877+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda4 14 109 771120 83 Linux
Take partition #3, 3429877 512 byte blocks. Thats about 1674MB.
Now what does df say:
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda3 843982 135198 708784 16% /audio
i.e. 824MB, or basically 50% of the size.
[root@dhin /audio]# df --version
df (GNU fileutils) 4.0
So, whats gone wrong here ? Is it just me ?
