FWIW, I haven't looked at it. The page does not describe how it hooks up
to the kernel. The gzipped tarball weighs 100k, to be compared with a few
k uncompressed for podfuk. A bit scary in itself.
This sounds weird at first. And then you can think about stuff like
mapping an SQL database to a filesystem, or hooking directly into CVS.
Or something even more useful, like winning the annual obfuscated perl
programming contest.
