I guess You're using smbfs filesystem.
If so it's the same problems I experienced .
Upgrade to 2.2.15. It's fixed there.
If You really want to stick with 2.2.14 then do one of the following:
1) stop using smbfs
2) search kernel mailing list for patch from Manfred Sproul that
fixes
this problem
