I've been running the pre series of 2.2 kernels on a number of
machines around the office and reported on my troubles as they've
come up. Mostly related to USB and IrDA these days.
4 of the machines have ALI 15x3 IDE controllers, and I've always
waited for the "Hedrick" patches so I could have UDMA support.
"Hedrick" patches don't seem to be showing up for the 2.2.16pre series.
Thus the 4 machines are left back at 2.2.15 and I'm no longer
able to help test the pre series.
Has ALI 15x3 fallen out of favor? Or have I otherwised missed
the correct path for ALI 15x3 owners?
Thanks,
