2.3.99pre8 shows "0K shared memory" although it supposely works. Is this a
known general bug or it's because my hardware? Is corrected on pre9?

I've a PIIIDM3 i840 mainboard. I only can run with 2.3.99 Kernel, 2.2.15
crashes on SMP (both Kernels show some IO_APIC warnings). May be dangerous
running 2.3.99pre8 on a productive web and database server?
