Thanks for helping.
I compiled the kernel with CONFIG_BLK_DEV-ALI15X off and now
it boots ok. The curious thing is that there was no trouble with
2.3.99-pre7-5. I really would prefer having the ali15x support. for
one thing, without it there is no dma support.
