I installed 4 HPT366 controller to access 8 disks (supposed to become a
software RAID array)
In /proc/ide
hda hdc hdg hdk
show up, but I can't access hdk:
$ dd </dev/hdk >/tmp/t count=1 bs=1k
bash: /dev/hdk: Device not configured
Do I need to raise a kernel constant or is there another action required?

-- Plug-and-Play is really nice, unfortunately it only works 50% of the time. To be specific the "Plug" almost always works. --unknown source
