I, too, am getting this timeout with 2.4.0-test1-ac4. I switched to
2.4.0-test1-ac4 because my LinkSys EtherFast 10/100 v4 cards aren't
detecting at all in 2.2.15. But in 2.4.0-test1-ac4, It takes my box about
five minutes from the time it boots up to the time I start getting the
timeout errors. After that, it's pretty much dead in the water since most
processes become unkilleable, etc. My timeout error is (from syslog):
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: Transmit timed out, status fc664010, CSR12 00000000, resetting...
It just says this over and over and over and ... If there's any more info
that would help people figure this one out, I'd be glad to provide it. :)
In the meantime, looks like I may have to go back to my crappy old 10Mbit
half-duplex cards... :(
