I am trying that here and no way. I have indded tested 3 serial
cables. The break works when I send it to lilo for changing kernel,
but didn't work when I sent it for SysRq. As I have told in the
previous mail, I have a getty running, no difference if I am connected
or not in the serial console.

Thanks a lot for your interest. If there is something that I can test
to see if the thing is working reliabily I would like to know.
